Lauren Feldshau, PT, DPT
Lauren has made great strides with the Gymnastics Team at the Gym Corner in Washington, including onsite screens and a pre-hab exercise program for coaches and gymnasts. She’s recently helped a University of Iowa gymnast from the area, and even saved the day for a ballerina from Central Illinois Ballet so she could perform in the Nutcracker!
Lauren graduated from Midwestern University’s Doctor of Physical Therapy Program in 2017 and started her career with PTS shortly after. She is originally from the Peoria-area and has been with PTS since graduating from PT school. She specializes in pediatrics including the treatment of torticollis, plagiocephaly, cerebral palsy, toe-walking, and a variety of orthopedic conditions.
Lauren also has a special interest in gymnastics rehabilitation. She has an extensive gymnastics background including eight years as a competitive gymnast and eleven years as a coach. This gives her unique insight into the biomechanical demands of the sport as well as sport-specific strategies she has developed to help injured gymnasts return to competition. Lauren is also a certified provider of the Selective Functional Movement Assessment and the Functional Movement Screen.
Outside of work, Lauren enjoys spending time with family, reading, craft projects, yoga, and kickboxing.
