Orthotics - Custom

When lower leg and foot pain becomes a problem, patients look to custom orthotics for treatment. Because causes and types of pain can vary, there are many different forms of orthotics, each with a unique function.

How can Custom Orthotics help foot pain?

When the natural balance of the lower body becomes altered by over-pronation (inward rolling-motion of the foot during walking or running), problems such as heel, lower-back or knee pain can occur. Estimates suggest as many as 70% of Americans suffer from this condition. Custom orthotics (also known as shoe inserts, orthotic insoles or orthoses) are placed within the shoe to correct complications of over-pronation and restore the foot’s natural function.

What conditions can Custom Orthotics treat?

PTS has therapists trained to fit and fabricate custom foot orthotics for various foot and ankle conditions including:

  • High arches
