While racquetball and squash are different sports, they both involve racquets, courts, a fast pace, and thus similar injuries. Injuries can be to the upper or lower bodies and commonly include muscle strains (example: calf muscle or hamstring tear), ligament sprains (example: ankle or anterior cruciate ligament of the knee), tendon irritation (example: lateral epicondylitis or “tennis elbow,” patellar tendonitis). Facial injuries, such as injury to the eye, may require follow-up with a specialist for that region of the body.
