Topic-Description: Approximately 2/3 of adults over age 70 have a rotator cuff tear, yet many remain symptom-free with no loss of function or pain. Therapy has been shown to be just as effective compared to surgery for treating small to medium rotator cuff tears. This course reviews the 2025 Clinical Practice Guideline (CPG) for nonsurgical management of rotator cuff–related shoulder pain, highlighting the latest evidence-based recommendations for evaluation and treatment. A hands-on lab will be included to go over manual therapy strategies, and exercise progressions based on current research. Attendees should wear comfortable clothing.

Topic-Description: Sleep is a vital part of the human experience, yet many rehab professionals and patients often overlook its importance. Around 70% of adults get less than the recommended eight hours of sleep, and those who sleep fewer than six hours per night face a higher risk of weight gain and obesity. Even one sleepless night can impair cognitive function to the same extent as having a blood alcohol content of 0.08%. This course will explore the science of sleep, its impact on therapy outcomes, and practical strategies therapists can use to promote better sleep hygiene in their patients. By addressing sleep, clinicians can enhance recovery, improve function, and support overall health.
